Hello there...thinking of you.

Hey everyone, this is my second post for the day! Yay!! :)

I had a little spare time today, when my kids were somewhat occupied with their toys. So, I made this quick little card!

I used some new Hero Arts stamps (Friendly Flags and Everyday sayings) I bought last week. As well as some new twine I bought. And I must add, if your looking at my quote and scratching your head, as into how did I find/get that quote 'wavey'??...Well, I stumbled upon thinking of it, when I couldn't get my quote straight (at least to me, I couldn't get it straight). So, rather than stressing myself out about it, I thought it would be cute to make it look wavy. I placed it on my stamping block....I put one side of the stamp up and the other side down. After doing that, I sort of ran my finger against the edge of the stamp, making sure it 'flowed' to me (as if the stamp came that way, I didn't want it to look like I 'bent' it).

Thanks again for stopping by and I'll see you all later!! :)

So Happy...

Hey everyone, hope your all having a great Monday! I just wanted to do a short little post on a card a made last night. Once again, I started using things I don't always use much of....this time colored pencils!

I bought some adorable stamps online and have been wanting to use them since I left on my trip! So, last night I pulled them out and used one of many, to do this card. I was going to use markers but decided on colored pencils. I will say, I must find smoother paper for colored pencils! It came out cute to me but the grain of the paper is driving me nuts!! Though, I thought I would still share it....I don't think it's that bad??

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!! :)

Whew! What A Trip!

Hey everyone, I am finally back!! Let me fill you in on my trip!! :)

I haven't been on a plane in about 6yrs. or so and that plane ride did a number on me! For starters, I went from Florida all the way to Oregon!! Talk about my time being off...and let's not forget the BIG climate change!! Whoa! Then, my flights there and back, had so much turbulance, you couldn't get up out of your seat!! Even the flight attendents were sitted, that there can give you somewhat of an idea on how bad it was!  I had connection flights in Houston, that was interesting...going to Oregon, I had only about 15min to spare before getting on the plane! And coming back, was no better! I actually made the gate in time, as they were making the last call for all passengers!! Talk about cutting it close! I can't tell you, how happy I am to be back home!!! :) And I also made it back in one piece! lol :)

Besides all my plane issues, time changes, and weather changes...It was a great trip! It was sooooo good to see my dad and his wife (let's not forget, my brother too!)!! They have such a cozy and welcoming home, it made my stay very comfortable for me. :) This also was the first time I've been away from my husband and kids, you can only imagine how hard that was!!....though I did stay in touch, via phone and text.

So overall, great! Would I do it again?...Not anytime soon! lol I'm still trying to get back on my time schedule and not to mention, catch back up with my kids (many other things too)!! :) I also just celebrated my youngest son's 3rd birthday on Saturday! I'm still wondering how I'm standing up?!! lol :)

Now, I also have a card to share. I was playing around last night and decided to do something a little different....play with chalk! I don't always do too much with chalk but it was sitting there in front of me. I figured I was suppose to do something with it?! I think my card came out good but I always second guess myself, when I haven't worked much with something...? I used some cream chalks, which I used only one color but used it a little darker in places. I hope you like?! :)

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope soon I'll be back on my schedule....Have so much more to share with you all!! :)

Happy Birthday 'Bike'.

Hey everyone, Happy Friday! I just wanted to do a short little post with a card I submitted in for Paper Crafts, Stamp It! Cards. It didn't get chosen and that's why I'm sharing it with you all! I only entered in one card, due to everything I have on my plate right now. Enjoy :)

I also want to inform everyone, that my blog will be quiet for a little bit. I am leaving out of town to visit my dad. I like to say, it'll be a happy visit! However, my dad is very ill right now. So, I guess we could say "bitter sweet"?.....I ask that you all bare with me?! I hope to be back in a couple weeks and you will be sure to know when I am!

Thank you for stopping by and 'Happy Crafting' to you all!!

P.S.
Please excuse my 'picture', I took this when is was night out (didn't have much choice, at the time). Didn't realize how dark it looked, until now. Oh, well. ;)

Happy Birthday.

Hey everyone! Just another little post. Not sure how I feel about this card though?....I like it but at the same time I look at it and question, if it really works well together....or does it need something else...etc. I'll let you all be the judge! ;)

Thank you for stopping by today! :)

XOXO...

Hey everyone! I just have a short little post today. I made this for Valentine's but  it could be used just for 'love' in general.

I'm not sure if you all can see it?....but that mini clothes pin I used has 'xoxo' on it. I found these mini clothes pins online and couldn't pass them up!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great rest of the week! :)

Tiger Lily

Hey everyone! Hope your all enjoying your Sunday?!! So, this card that I'm sharing with you today...has somewhat of a story behind it. I was trying to whip out a card for PaperCrafts Magazine's open submissions for Stamp It! Cards. Well, after entering half my info, I started to question if my card would even qualify??....It says it has to be a stamped image, other than the greeting/quote/etc. Techincally, my card IS stamped. However, I used a sharpie over it. That is what I'm unsure about. So, rather than chancing it, I decided to share it with you all!!! :)

Last week I was out shopping and stumbled upon these JUMBO stamps! I knew I had to have them, so I grabbed one of each that was there!! For this card I used the Jumbo Tiger Lily by Stampendous. I used a black ink to stamp it on my paper. Once dry, I pulled out some Copic Sketch markers (v04, v12) and colored in my lily. When I was done coloring, I decided I wanted a more BOLDER black. That's when I got my sharpie and went over my lines. I didn't put any greeting/quote on it because I thought the lily, should be the only focus. I added some black cardstock behind my image, just to 'pop' it out from my white card.

I hope you enjoyed what I shared with you today and thank you for stopping by!! :)

Thinking of you

Hey everyone! I know it has been another minute, since my last post. I have been having some rough times at the moment. I am trying to stay positive about things, as well as keeping up on everything. Please bare with me everyone....I Thank You in advance :)

So with where my mind is at lately, I made this 'Thinking of you' card. I stamped on my image and then used an embossing folder (woodgrain) and ran it through my die cutting machine. I stamped my greeting on a piece of white cardstock (cut into a rectangle) and then added my gold pearls. I used foam squares on the back of my greeting, to 'pop' it up.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great day! :)
